TOPS
The combing process is one of the most delicate and decisive steps in the transformation of precious raw fibers such as cashmere and vicuña into precious worsted yarns.
Through meticulous combing, the fibers are carefully aligned while shorter and coarser elements are removed. The result is a perfectly clean, uniform, and refined fiber — known as tops — ready to be spun into yarns of exceptional quality.
In our combing facilities, cashmere and other noble fibers are processed into tops for both our own knitwear productions and for some of the world’s most prestigious spinning mills.
RAW CASHMERE FIBER
Raw cashmere fibers represent the most natural expression of this precious material and form the foundation of carded yarn production.
Carefully selected and thoroughly cleaned, the fibers preserve their original softness, volume, and character. Unlike combed fibers, they retain a wider range of lengths, making them ideal for woolen spinning processes that emphasize warmth, fullness, and a natural hand feel.
Decades ago Cashmerefine was founded specifically for the trading of cashmere raw fibers and through times it developed an incredible network among the best producers. Today Cashmerefine is widely recognized as an international reference in the sourcing and selection of the best fibers throughout the whole Gobi Desert.
